What You Can and Can’t Do in Sacramento

There are many fun things to do in Sacramento - have dinner at Frank Fats or visit the California State Railroad Museum.  The capitol building and the museum in the basement are worth visiting.

However, if you do visit the capitol, you need to remember that certain activities are off limits.  In fact, the California Highway Patrol has the following regulation:

The playing of games which involve running, jumping, tackling, strenuous activity or physical contact between players, including but not limited to football, baseball, frisbee, golf, catch, and soccer, in the State Capitol is prohibited.

So there you have it, golf and frisbee are verboten in the capitol.  One wonders whether excessive game playing was a problem before this regulation was adopted.
