Since last Friday was the deadline under Joint Rule 61(a)(8) for bills to leave their house of origin, I'm devoting this post to the status of some pending corporate and securities law bills:

AB 361 (Huffman) (benefit corporations) passed out of the Assembly on a 58 to 17 vote.  I discuss this bill in this April 13, 2011 post.

AB 571 (Hagman) (limitations on corporate distributions) passed out of the Assembly on a 74 to 0 vote.  I discuss this bill in this February 24, 2011 post.

AB 657 (Gordon) (statements of information) passed out of the Assembly on a 70 to 0 vote.  I discuss this bill in this February 22, 2011 post.

AB 873 (Furutani) (CalPERS/CalSTRS revolving door) passed out of the Assembly on a 78 to 0 vote.  I discuss this bill in this February 23, 2011 post.

AB 1161 (Skinner) (cooperative corporations) did not make it to the third reading in the Assembly.  I discuss this bill in this March 15, 2011 post.

AB 1255 (V. Manuel Pérez) (corporate director registry) passed out of the Assembly on a 72 to 0 vote.  I discuss this bill in this March 2, 2011 post.

SB 201 (DeSaulnier) (flexible purpose corporations) passed out of the Senate on a 37 to 1 vote.  I discuss this bill in this April 13, 2011 post.

SB 323 (Vargas) (Revised Uniform Limited Liability Company Act) did not make it to the second reading in the Assembly.  I discuss this bill in this February 17, 2011 post.

SB 861 (Corbett) (Conflict minerals) passed out of the Senate on a 33 to 2 vote.  I discuss this bill in this May 25, 2011 post, this post on April 12, 2011, and this post on March 21, 2011.
