Is A Shareholder Vote Required To Adjourn A Meeting?

Yesterday, Liz Dunshee in The Proxy Season Blog addressed the question of whether motions to adjourn were considered "routine" for purposes of Rule 452 of the New York Stock Exchange.  This rule permits brokers provides that brokers may only vote on "routine" matters if they do not receive voting instructions from their customers.

Liz' blog reminded me of my own blog post from a few years ago.  In that post, I posed the question of whether a shareholder vote was required to adjourn a meeting.
